Who can move the budget
Your organization's account: an account your organization owns; what it holds leaves it only as the rewards and fees your organization signed for, or back to your organization's wallet when it reclaims.
Where the budget can go
- Each verified person
- their reward
- Udao
- the platform fee on it
- Your organization
- whatever the account holds above what it still owes, once the campaign has ended
After the deadline and review window, Campaign prepares the payment and your organization confirms it: each verified person's whole reward, plus Udao's 3.0% platform fee.
How the budget is held
The budget is committed to an account your organization owns, and inside it this campaign's budget is held for this campaign's places alone.
What is unspent stays held for the campaign until it ends; then your organization reclaims it in its own transactions.
The account is a contract your organization’s wallet owns; its address is yours to read at any time.
How the people you pay receive it
How does a participant sign in?
With their email. Signing in opens an address of their own for rewards: no keys to handle, and no transaction fee to receive or collect one.
What if a reward does not reach a participant?
Your organization’s account credits it to them, and they collect it themselves at an address of their own.
Can a participant move their reward?
Yes, they send it from ‘Your campaigns’ to an address they name. If they signed in with their email, sending costs them no transaction fee.
What you need, and who signs
A public, funded campaign
- What your organization signs
One person, from your organization's wallet:
- Fund the campaign1
- Pay the outcomes you verified1 per payment
- Close the campaign and take back the remainder2
- Money
- UDAO, in a wallet your organization controls.
- Approval
- Your organization proves its domain once, and a reviewer at Udao approves it by hand before a public page in its own name opens.
Your organization pays a transaction fee on each. The fee goes to the network, not to Campaign.
A trial campaign
- Money
- You sign in and run a whole campaign on simulated rewards.
- Approval
- None, and no wallet: it runs for the people you invite.
- What your organization signs
- Nothing.
Who acts in a settlement run
- Naming who is paid
- Udao, with its signature
- Submitting the list
- A second key, your organization's or Udao's, never the signing one
- Paying it
- Your organization, in its own transaction
Who approves each outcome, and revoking one
You approve each outcome.
Can a verification be revoked?
Until settlement reserves the reward, your verifier can revoke one for cause and show the person why; that place comes back at expiry. Once reserved, the reward stays with the person, and your organization can still revoke the certificate, which then shows as revoked.
What your finance team receives
The payout export has one row per place: the address paid, the amount, and the transaction it moved in.

Where do the amounts come from?
In your dashboard and on every settlement statement, an amount is read from the network or from the ledger that records it.
Who handles tax and paperwork for the people we pay?
Your own arrangement with them, reported from the payout export. Your own advisers decide the tax treatment.
What becomes public
The public record
- Never shows
- a name, an email address, or what the outcome was
A passport
- Never shows
- an email address, a wallet address, or an amount
ExampleAnyone with the address
1 certificate · 1 organization
What each one shows
The public record
- Shows
- the amounts, the addresses and the times, and for a certificate on it, its number, fingerprint and date
A passport
- Shows
- their handle, each certificate and its issuer, the name on their certificates and one link to a profile elsewhere if they add them
What links does a notification carry?
One link into your own page here, and nothing an organization wrote. A verifier's note never enters one.
Checking a certificate
A certificate is the statement of the organization that ran the campaign, and its weight is that organization's.
- Check it without asking us
- Anyone, once it is on the public record.
- Change what it certifies
- Nobody, once it is on the public record: not Campaign, not the organization. Until then it rests on our records.
- Delete it
- Nobody.
- Revoke it
- The organization that issued it decides, and Campaign carries it out. It shows, with its date, and stays.
